I wrote this sort of off-the-cuff a few days ago...
I enjoy experimenting with syllabic count; this was birthed of just such experimentation...
I usually prefer not to rhyme (at least not so hideously) - I figure a good title for this would be 'Nine Reasons not to Rhyme'
...at any rate, it is too short and poorly written to be submitted as a Deviation, thus it will have to live here in my journal

Lying eyes veil the crying inside
Feelings I thought had finally died
Unwelcome thoughts that I tried to hide
A seashell - washed by waves and the tide
Drowned by water in which I reside
Covered words - meanings merely implied
Spoken through naught wherein I confide
River reflection - backwards I'm eyed
Frozen - crystal-streaked cheeks that have dried

...bit o' imagery hidden in there, still not redeeming, tho'

I figured out how to fix the 'abundance of new deviantMessages' problem - cancel the page mid-load and just mark 'em all as read - now I get to start anew - whee...

Still haven't come up with a better Deviant Icon - I'm trying, though...
I need to create some manner of ID as well - any suggestions?

The rest of my 'work' is slow in coming... it feels wrong for me to post poetry without an accompanying semi-relevant screenshot (however poorly done it may turn out to be)

I wish there were a search option for specific deviantART locations (say... Stock Art, perhaps) - that would make things much easier
